The ritual before the work and why I begin with tea

A journey of return, healing and remembering.

Before any session begins, there is always a moment of pause.

No talking.
No processing.
No trying to figure anything out.

Just… arrival.

And often, that begins with tea.

Not as something extra.
Not as something aesthetic.

But as a way of gently guiding the body out of whatever it has been carrying…
and into the present moment.

Because most people don’t arrive as themselves.

They arrive with the day still in their system.
With conversations still looping.
With tension still held in the body.

And if we move straight into the work from there,
we’re meeting the surface… not the truth underneath it.

Founder of Rooted Return

I support women in returning to themselves through nervous system regulation, somatic healing and deep inner work.

I didn’t have language for it at the time.

I just knew I couldn’t keep living like that.

Ash Meyer Quote

So we slow it down.

The breath shifts.
The pace slows.
The edges begin to soften.

Nothing is forced.

Your body simply begins to land.

And from there… we begin.

Because the work isn’t about diving deeper as quickly as possible.

It’s about creating the conditions where your system feels safe enough
to open on its own.

That’s what the tea holds.

A threshold.

A quiet return to yourself…before anything else is asked of you.
